Commercial Director (Progression to COO/CEO)

Your mission

We are seeking a highly strategic and commercially driven Commercial Director who is ready to evolve into a Chief Operations Officer and ultimately into a future CEO. This is a fast-track executive role for a leader with deep experience in software agencies or IT outsourcing companies, strong operational discipline, and a proven track record of driving revenue growth, operational excellence, and scaling businesses.

The ideal candidate has successfully grown commercial teams, managed complex operations, led acquisitions, integrated newly acquired businesses, and transformed traditional service models into modern, scalable, remote-first structures. Your leadership will shape the next stage of our company’s evolution and establish a disruptive presence in the IT outsourcing industry by leveraging global remote engineering talent.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership & Execution

  • Translate company vision into commercial and operational strategies, turning high-level goals into clear growth plans.

  • Lead company-wide goal setting, performance management, KPIs, and annual operational planning.

  • Drive a performance culture through daily meetings, KPIs, accountability frameworks, PowerBI insights, and strong execution discipline.

Commercial Growth & Market Expansion

  • Own revenue growth targets and deliver commercial expansion across multiple markets.

  • Identify high-value opportunities, new service lines, and untapped customer segments.

  • Build and strengthen long-term relationships with key customers, enterprise clients, and strategic partners.

  • Conduct market analysis and competitive assessments to inform expansion and product positioning.

Acquisition Growth & Integration

  • Lead the commercial and operational integration of acquired companies.

  • Ensure smooth transitions while preserving cultural alignment and team synergy.

  • Develop strategies to grow newly acquired businesses from $10M to $50M, optimizing processes, margin profiles, and commercial performance.

  • Build repeatable acquisition playbooks and frameworks for scalable expansion.

Operational Excellence

  • Oversee day-to-day operations to ensure efficiency, productivity, and quality delivery.

  • Build a highly inclusive and high-performance culture where teams thrive and goals are consistently met.

  • Implement structured operational workflows, reporting systems, and cross-departmental alignment.

  • Revamp traditional outsourcing models by embracing remote-first, distributed workforce structures.

Leadership & Team Development

  • Build, mentor, and lead commercial, operations, and cross-functional teams.

  • Establish leadership rhythms, talent development paths, and succession plans.

  • Promote collaboration between Sales, Delivery, Finance, RevOps, and Marketing.

Financial Ownership

  • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.

  • Ensure profitability, cost efficiency, and financially sound decisions that support scalable growth.

  • Track financial KPIs and provide insights to the CEO and board.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Collaborate closely with the CEO and executive leadership.

  • Present strategies, updates, and performance metrics to investors and board members.

  • Maintain strong, trusting relationships with major clients, strategic partners, and key stakeholders.

Your profile
  • Minimum 10 years of senior management experience in commercial and operational leadership roles.

  • Proven track record in software agencies, tech consultancies, or IT outsourcing organizations.

  • Experience working directly with CEOs and leadership teams on company-wide strategy.

  • Strong expertise in commercial growth, operational management, acquisitions, and integration.

  • Bachelor’s degree in STEM or related field; MBA preferred.

  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management abilities.

  • Innovative thinker with a strong grasp of the remote work, distributed teams, and modern outsourcing models.

  • Demonstrated success in scaling businesses and building high-performing teams.
