Your mission
We are looking for a seasoned Technical Content Editor with a deep understanding of software development technologies, programming languages, tools, and methodologies. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of editing and improving technical content to ensure accuracy, clarity, and consistency while maintaining the highest editorial standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Review, edit, and proofread technical content, including articles, blog posts, tutorials, whitepapers, and documentation, to ensure accuracy, clarity, and consistency
  • Provide constructive feedback to writers to improve the quality and effectiveness of their content, including suggestions for restructuring, rewriting, or adding additional information
  • Collaborate with writers, subject matter experts, and other team members to ensure that content meets the needs of our target audience and aligns with our brand voice and style guidelines
  • Develop and maintain editorial standards, style guides, and best practices for technical content creation and editing
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends, developments, and best practices in software development and related technologies, and incorporate this knowledge into editorial decisions
  • Manage multiple editing projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines while maintaining a high level of quality and attention to detail
  • Work closely with the marketing and content strategy teams to develop content plans and strategies that support our overall marketing objectives.
Your profile
  • Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Communications, Computer Science, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience as a technical editor or content editor, with a proven track record of editing technical content for accuracy, clarity, and consistency
  • Excellent editing and proofreading skills, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to maintain consistency in style, tone, and voice
  • In-depth knowledge of software development technologies, programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript, C++), tools (e.g., Git, Docker, Jenkins), and methodologies (e.g., Agile, DevOps)
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment
  • Experience developing and maintaining editorial standards, style guides, and best practices
  • Ability to provide constructive feedback and guidance to writers to improve the quality of their content
  • Proficiency in using editing tools and software (e.g., Microsoft Word, Google Docs, Adobe Acrobat).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Familiarity with SEO best practices and the ability to optimize content for search engines
  • Experience with content management systems (CMS) and publishing platforms
  • Knowledge of graphic design principles and tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite)
  • Active participation in online developer communities, forums, or open-source projects.
