Technical Content Editor

Your mission

We are looking for a seasoned Technical Content Editor with a deep understanding of software development technologies, programming languages, tools, and methodologies. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of editing and improving technical content to ensure accuracy, clarity, and consistency while maintaining the highest editorial standards.

Responsibilities:

Review, edit, and proofread technical content, including articles, blog posts, tutorials, whitepapers, and documentation, to ensure accuracy, clarity, and consistency
Provide constructive feedback to writers to improve the quality and effectiveness of their content, including suggestions for restructuring, rewriting, or adding additional information
Collaborate with writers, subject matter experts, and other team members to ensure that content meets the needs of our target audience and aligns with our brand voice and style guidelines
Develop and maintain editorial standards, style guides, and best practices for technical content creation and editing
Stay up-to-date with the latest trends, developments, and best practices in software development and related technologies, and incorporate this knowledge into editorial decisions
Manage multiple editing projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines while maintaining a high level of quality and attention to detail
Work closely with the marketing and content strategy teams to develop content plans and strategies that support our overall marketing objectives.

Your profile

Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Communications, Computer Science, or a related field
5+ years of experience as a technical editor or content editor, with a proven track record of editing technical content for accuracy, clarity, and consistency
Excellent editing and proofreading skills, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to maintain consistency in style, tone, and voice
In-depth knowledge of software development technologies, programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript, C++), tools (e.g., Git, Docker, Jenkins), and methodologies (e.g., Agile, DevOps)
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment
Experience developing and maintaining editorial standards, style guides, and best practices
Ability to provide constructive feedback and guidance to writers to improve the quality of their content
Proficiency in using editing tools and software (e.g., Microsoft Word, Google Docs, Adobe Acrobat).

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Familiarity with SEO best practices and the ability to optimize content for search engines
Experience with content management systems (CMS) and publishing platforms
Knowledge of graphic design principles and tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite)
Active participation in online developer communities, forums, or open-source projects.
